BIOGRAPHY OF KAROLIS RUGYS
Born on 28 May,1981 in Kaunas.
In 1999, graduated from Kaunas “Varpo” Gymnasium.
In 2003, graduated from Institute of Political Science and Diplomacy at Vytautas Magnus University, where he acquired the specialty of Public Administration (Bachelor's Degree) and Business Administration (Minor).
In 2007, graduated from Faculty of Law at Vilnius University (single-stage studies in Bachelor's and Master's law programmes).
Since 2004, working in the legal field (in law firms, an attorney and/or a head of legal services companies).
Since 2013, together with lawyers V. Žiemelis and A. Valys, established Žiemelis, Valys, Rugys and partners Law Firm.
He has upgraded his qualification by attending seminars, organised by the Lithuanian Bar Association and others.
Speaks English and understand Russian, has learned the basics of German, completed the Latin language course.
Married, has two daughters: Rugilė and Gabrielė. Goes in for sports, interested in business and policy issues.
Specializes in civil procedure and civil law (corporate, commercial, bankruptcy, labour, family, insurance) in administrative, partially criminal law practice.
